I usually post local events on this page, but before you go out and enjoy the city, I challenge you to GO! and donate to an organization, non-profit or charity. I’m not talking big name organizations with million dollar budgets…the celebrities and fortune 500 companies have them well covered. I’m talking small, community based orgs putting in work on the ground floor in the grassroots of the city. I personally know the founders and coordinators of these linked below and I can vouch for the strides they’ve made and continue to make.
I am a board member for the South Memphis Alliance, so of course I got to give them top shine. But I understand South Memphis may not be your thing. Pick one below that is close to your heart and donate your time, efforts, or money. Just in case you were not aware, it takes cash, people, and action to make things happen and these organizations need ALL of the above. Click an image to be directed to their site.
